IN AN USB STICK
Following the 9.9.09 debut of the digitally re-mastered catalogue on CD, Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI Music are pleased to announce the worldwide release of a limited edition Beatles Stereo USB on December 7.

The unique, apple-shaped USB drive is loaded with the re-mastered audio for The Beatles’ 14 stereo titles, as well as all of the re-mastered CDs’ visual elements, including 13 mini-documentary films about the studio albums, replicated original UK album art, rare photos and expanded liner notes. A specially designed Flash interface has been installed, and the 16GB USB's audio and visual contents will be provided in FLAC 44.1 Khz 24 bit and MP3 320 Kbps formats, fully compatible with PC and Mac.

PINK FLOYD
MAIL STAMPS
On 7th January ‘The Division Bell’ will be available as a Royal Mail stamp, as part of the ‘Classic Album Covers’ stamp issue, featuring 10 classic covers. However, UK stamp dealer The Stamp Centre will be creating two limited-edition ‘First Day Covers’ featuring just ‘The Division Bell’, one with one stamp and one with ten stamps.

The one-stamp version (pictured) includes a custom envelope with images from the ‘Division Bell’ album. It will also sport a Custom franking mark dated 7th January 2010 from Ely, Cambridgeshire, the place where the cover photograph for ‘The Division Bell’ was taken. On the reverse will be the limited edition number, a photo of the band, and some information about the album. The one-stamp version costs £5.99UK (inc. UK postage), and the 10-stamp version costs £9.99 (inc. UK postage).

MICK JAGGER
WITH U2
Mick Jagger returned to the Madison Sq. Garden stage last week (11.05.09) as U2's surprise guest during their performance at the 25th anniversary of the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame. Without any introduction Mick strode on stage to sing an unbelievable version of "Gimme Shelter" with U2, Black Eyed Peas' Will I Am on keyboards, and Fergie recreating Merry Clayton's apocalyptic vocals. Mick then stayed on for a rousing duet with Bono on U2's "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of."

GOLDEN GLOBE
Many congratulations to Paul McCartney as it has been confirmed that his song (I Want To) Come Home has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award in the Best Original Song category. Paul said: "I'm honoured and delighted to be nominated for a Golden Globe. It's not the kind of thing that happens every day."

"As if it wasn't enough to have my song in the same film as Robert De Niro I now get the brilliant news that it's been nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Song in a movie. It's pinch yourself time!"

The song is also included in the 2009 Critics' Choice Nominees in the category for Best Song. (I Want To) Come Home is taken from the new Miramax film Everybody's Fine starring Robert De Niro.

NEW ALBUM...
Peter Gabriel will release his 'Scratch My Back' album project on February 15th 2010 on Virgin Records. The album is the first part of a series of song exchanges in which Peter and other leading artists reinterpret each others songs. In this first installment we hear excerpts from, and the stories behind Peter's recordings of Heroes, The Boy In The Bubble, Mirrorball and Flume.

The concerts celebrating the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are right around the corner on 29 and 30 October at the world's most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. There has been a change in the guest lineup for 30 October, the evening Eric Clapton is scheduled to perform. Van Morrison is no longer on the show. Buddy Guy will now be performing. Other special guests for Friday include Ozzy Osbourne, Jeff Beck, Jerry Lee Lewis, Annie Lennox and Lenny Kravitz

Sting's forthcoming album, If on a Winter's Night... to be released this Fall (October 27th) on Deutsche Grammophon, presents an arc of songs that conjure the season of spirits, featuring a collection of carols and lullabies spanning the centuries, resulting in a haunting, spiritual and reflective musical journey. In collaboration with esteemed producer and arranger, Robert Sadin, Sting is joined by friend and long time colleague, guitarist Dominic Miller - and an ensemble of three remarkable musicians from Northern England and Scotland: Kathryn Tickell (fiddle and Northumbrian pipes) Julian Sutton (melodean) and Mary MacMaster (metal string Scottish harp).

This famed Madison Square Garden show is honored with a fantastic DVD & CD package.
